WoW Making Gold with Enchanting

The other day I started a character on a brand new server. A few friends had decided to make the switch, and I decided to follow. By the time they had told me our core group had made the switch to the new server, everyone was around level 12. I wanted to play with them so I pulled out my copy of Brian Kopp’s 1-70 Alliance Leveling guide and began to power level. I use the guide quite often, and it is awesome. I got to 12 in no time at all.

As I was leveling I found that it was really difficult to do any kind of wow gold farming. I like to have a back up supply of gold, and usually I am able to transfer gold from my main to any alt that I start, but because we were on a brand new server to transfer any gold from. I hear quite often people say, you don’t need good gear until you are at least level 40, and that you shouldn’t waste your money on buying equipment until you ding 40. Personally I like to have a ton of gold at even really low levels. I hate being broke at low levels.

So in order to make some gold to sate my thirst for wow gold farming, I came up with a really easy strategy to make gold with new characters. Normally I would buy and sell limited supply items that are found within the main cities, but this time I wanted to try something new.

To use this one you will need to pick up Enchanting as a profession. Plus it would be handy to have the Enchantrix addon as well, although it is not necessary. Now I have seen many strategies like this before, but most focus on high level, expensive stuff. This will focus on new characters on a new server. The first thing you need to do is head to the AH and figure out the average selling price of 1 strange dust, not a stack, but just 1 single strange dust. For example on the server I did this with the average price was 15 silver. Now you need to a search on the AH for green (uncommon) items that have an item level of 15 or less. Not the equipable level, but the actual item level. The reason you need to stick to 15 or less is because that is what you can disenchant with a skill level of 1.

I will check the weapons category first and then check the armour category next. I am searching for items that can be disenchanted that are valued at less than the average price of a single strange dust. So in my example the average price of a strange dust was 15 silver, so I purchase every green item that I can afford that is selling for less than 15 silver. Once you have purchased enough items head to the mail box and pick up the items you purchased and begin disenchanting them. These items will disenchant into strange dust, greater magic essence, and lesser magic essence. When you have finished disenchanting all of the items you need to head back to the AH and start listing the materials that the items disenchanted into. If you need some help pricing the items for the AH check out my article: The Best Way to Sell Farmed items.

Now all you have to do is wait until the disenchanted items sell, and you can go and purchase more items to disenchant and sell as pure materials. You can use this method for higher valued items as you progress, just make sure you use the lowest priced material that the item will be disenchanted into as the highest price you will pay for an item that you will be disenchanting. So in the example above the lowest material that I would be getting from disenchanting was strange dust, and strange dust was selling on average for 15 silver, so I purchased nothing more expensive than strange dust. Continue this wow gold farming method until you have enough gold or until your enchanting is high enough to move up to the next level of disenchanting

WoW Enchanting Guide: Level Profession Faster in World of Warcraft Part 2

If you missed part one of this WoW Enchanting guide then you can find it here. The first WoW enchanting guide dealt with Apprentice enchanting which took you from 1-75, part two will take you from an Apprentice to a Journeyman.

Now before you begin, you need to check over a few items. First off, do you have a good supply of gold. From 1-75 only cost you around 8 gold but this next step, and subsequent steps will cost you a substantial amount of gold. I mentioned earlier that if you would like to really learn how to make solid amount of gold, you need to watch this video. The next step is you have to ensure that you are above level 10 and you also have to have a previous enchanting skill of at least 50. Now if you followed the original WoW enchanting guide you should be at 75, or at least very close.

As I mentioned in the Apprentice Guide: The materials suggested are the “bare bones” minimum that you will require for leveling your enchanting. Quite often you will find that you need a little more than what is suggested, either purchase extra, or head to the AH when you run out.

Step 1 Finding a Journeyman Enchanting Trainer

Alliance
Taladan, 35, Craftmen’s Terrace, Darnassus
Xylinnia Starshine, 51, Feathermoon Stronghold, Feralas
Gimble Thistlefuzz, 35, Great Forge, Ironforge
Lucan Cordell, 35, Mage Quarter, Stormwind
Nahogg, 30, the Crystal Hall, The Exodar.

Horde
Godan, 35, The Drag, Orgrimmar
Teg Dawnstrider, 30, Elevation 2, Thunder Bluff
Lavinia Crowe, 35, Apothecarium, Undercity
Sedana, 30, Court of the Sun, Silvermoon City

Neutral
Enchantress Metura, 60, the Seer’s Library, Shattrath City

Ensure that you learn the following items from the trainers:
Enchant Bracer: Minor Deflection
Enchant Bracer: Minor Stamina
Enchant Bracer: Minor Agility
Enchant Shield: Minor Stamina

Step 2: Shopping for Supplies

Remeber that you have the option of farming or shopping for these items, it really just depends on your taste. I prefer the shopping method, but you can do what ever you like. Each item is linked to Allakhazam so you can see where to purchase or farm these items, personally I just head to the AH to purchase the mats. The prices listed below are the approximate AH price of each item.

Shopping List:
Lesser Magic Essence x 10 (4 gold)
Strange Dust x 116 (24 gold)
Silver Rod x 1 (2 gold)
Greater Magic Essence x 21 (15 gold)
Shadow Gem x 1 (72 silver)
Lesser Astral Essence x 5 (2 gold)

Total Cost: approx 74 gold 72 Silver

Step 3: Start Enchanting

76-85: Enchant Bracer - Minor Deflection (10x Lesser Magic Essence 10x Strange Dust)
86-105: Enchant Bracer - Minor Stamina (60x Strange Dust)
106 Runed Silver Rod (6x Strange Dust 1x Silver Rod 6x Greater Magic Essence 1x Shadow Gem)
106-120: Enchant Bracer - Minor Agility (30x Strange Dust 15x Greater Magic Essence)
121-125: Enchant Shield- Minor Stamina (10x Strange Dust 5x Lesser Astral Essence)

This should get you to, or at least near 125. The next Wow Enchanting Guide will take you from Journeyman to Expert

WoW First Aid - Don’t Be A Doctor, Be A Salesman

Sure leveling your WoW First Aid is important, but can be costly as hell.  Here is a way you can earn enough gold to level your  First Aid with this  WoW Gold Farming tip that I call:

“WoW First Aid - Don’t Be A Doctor, Be A Salesman”

There are tons of people that at any given moment are leveling their first aid skill, so why not capitalize on it?  The fact is that if you want to max out your first aid skill you will need to buy a books.  Now as usual most people will be to lazy to try and figure out what vendors sell these books and will head straight to the AH.  This is where you can cash in…big time.

You are going to want to acquire 2 books:
Expert First Aid
Master First Aid

The first book Expert First Aid is easy enough to get, and can be purchased from the vendor for 1 gold and can be sold in the AH for nearly 3 gold.  It is sold by two vendors:

Deneb Walker Arathi Highlands 27, 58

Balai Lok’Wein Dustwallow Marsh 36,30

While at these vendors pick up Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage and Manual: Mageweave Bandage

The second book is Master First Aid which is a little more tricky to get at becuase it is sold in Hellfire Peninsula.  The vendors will sell this book for 5 gold and it can be turned around and sold in the AH for nearly 10 gold.

Aresella (Horde) Hellfire Peninsula 26,62

Burko (Alliance) Hellfire Peninsula 22, 39

While at these vendors pick up Manual: Heavy Netherweave Bandage and Manual: Netherweave Bandage

If you pick up a few copies of these book and sell them on the AH then you will be well on your way to leveling up your WoW First Aid very quickly

Easily Tame Echeyakee as a Pet

One of the coolest pets that a low level hunter can get is Echeyakee. The problem is that at such a low level, Echeyakee is very hard to tame. Here is the easy way to tame Echeyakee:

For the Horde:
Log in with your hunter and head 55,17 where Echeyakee is located. Once there log out and log in with your alt and take this character to the location as well. Make sure that your alt has the Echeyakee quest and the horn. Once you get to the tree blow the horn to summon Echeyakee and get him to attack your alt. While you are being attacked you will want to exit out of the game. You cannot log out while being attacked so you need to exit out of the game. Once you have exited reload World of Warcraft and log in with the character that will tame Echeyakee. If you are quick enough you will still see Echeyakee when you log back in still attcking your alt. At this point let the taming begin. This is all you have to do.

You could of course get someone to help you out that would act as the alt and just stand there and get hit. But sometimes if you want something done right you have to do it yourself.echeyakee

For the Alliance:
This depends on if you are on a PvP server or a PvE Server. IF you are on a PvE server just follow the instructions above with a Horde alt. On a PvP server you do not have the luxury of creating cross faction characters, so you will have to enlist the help of a Horde character. Of course you cannot do this in game, you have to do it online somehow.

If you are a Horde character and you are willing to help out (or get paid) to help an Alliance tame Echeyakee, post your character name and server in the comments below, or if you are Alliance and you are looking for help post your characts name and sever in the comments as well. Think of it as an Echeyakee classfid ad.

I am a big fan of Tshirts, especially funny Tshirts. Wait, I am more of a fan of funny Tshirts on hot chicks. I enjoy browsing through Tshirt Hell and reading through all of the funny tshirts.

funny tshirts

This latest funny tshirt that I have come across is the this classic “I Support Single Moms” Tshirt. I am not sure what caught my attention first, the funny tshirt, or the hot chick wearing it. You can see more pics of this girl “wearing” this Tshirt at TshirtHell.com. They have this awesome section called “TShirt Hell’s Tshirt Wearing Whores” that basically showcases hot chicks in funny tshirts. Definitely worth checking out.
