Profit From People That Avoid Those Pesky Paladins

Ok, goofy alliterations aside, here is a quick way to make a few gold in World of Warcraft without breaking a sweat.

In the world of PvP quite often people need a quick way to avoid all the garbage that a specific class will throw at them. At the top of the annoyance list has to be Paladins. The most common, quick and easy way to avoid this class is to down a holy Protection Potion. These potions sell really well in the Auction House, of course there is an item that will sell even better…

I am of course talking about the Recipe: Holy Protection Potion.

This potion can be purchased from vendors for a measly 8 silver, and sold in the Auction House for upwards of 3 gold. This recipe sells so well because it is located quite a distance from any major city, and most players will be too lazy to travel the distance to get the recipe at a discount. If you take the time to pick up a this recipe and sell it in the AH you stand to make quite a profit.

Where to find the recipes

  • Duskwood: Kzixx 81,19
(while you are there pick up Schematic: Goblin Jumper Cables)
  • Loch Modan: Xandar Goodbeard 82,63
(while you are there pick up Recipe: Rage Potion)
  • The Barrens: Hula’mahi 51,30

Nothing beats wow gold farming from the safety of a major city

Blood Elf Bandit Mask: World of Warcraft’s Greatest Fashion Accessory

It’s easy to find, it’s easy to sell, and it’s World of Warcraft’s most popular fashion accessory.

I am of course taking about the Blood Elf Bandit Mask.

This item is only found on one mob in the entire game so, it is seemingly rare. It is a fantastic way to start wow gold farming and make some really easy cash at the expense of other players vanity.

Here is how you do it…

First off you are going to need to head to Azuremyst Isle and start killing Blood Elf Bandits around 36,32. It makes sense right, Blood Elf Bandits Drop Blood Elf Bandit Masks? The have a pretty good drop rate of nearly 10%. Spend some time grinding the Blood Elf Bandits and once you feel you have enough masks (even finding just one is good), head to the nearest Auction House and put the masks up for sale.

These masks on average fetch about 30 gold in the Auction House. This huge profit margin makes the Blood Elf Bandit Mask a top notch item to farm!

The Best Way to Sell Farmed Items

WoW Gold Farming is a big part of making Gold in the World of Warcraft, but a lot of people are doing it all wrong.

Farming, Skinning, Looting etc is the easy part, it’s the selling of the materials that is the hard part. Most people take the material they have been farming, head to the auction house and list their stacks just a little bit lower than the already lowest price.

This is totally backwards, and here is why…

You spend so much time farming these items so why would you sell yourself short and list these items for the lowest price. It makes no sense. Instead you need to maximize your profits so that farming is worth your time. Besides, you know that someone else if going to come along and list their stack at even cheaper than your, and someone else is going to their stack even cheaper. And the cycle continues.

Did you notice that even when this type of thing happens, your stack usually sells even though there are other people with stacks cheaper than yours?

Let’s analyze why this happens with an example of Linen Cloth. When someone decides to learn first aid they need around 120 Linen Cloths (12 stacks) to get their skill up to 80. To get started they will normally head to the AH to pick up 12 stacks of Linen Cloth. They will of course purchase the cheapest stacks first and then gradually move up to the next price category and begin purchasing the more expensive stacks.

During peak playing time (ie weekends) this happens all the time. Players are constantly leveling up their skills and purchasing large amounts of farmed material from the AH. So instead of your material at the lowest price, try increasing your asking price and post the auctions on the weekend. You will see a huge increase in the amount of gold you make farming.

The Twilight Cultists in Silithus Are Giving Away Gold

The object of this wow gold farming post are the Twilight Trappings which consists of:

The best mods to farm these items from are the Twilight Marauder [39, 77] and the Twilight Stonecaller [38, 45]. The Twilight Trappings set items has a drop rate of nearly 5% from these mods. Although all of the cultists have the Twilight Trappings gear as drops, these two have the best drop rates.

Plus they also drop another great commodity that will help increase your bank account: Rune Cloth. And with a 30% drop rate for Rune Cloth it is well worth spending some time farming in Silithus.

Keep an eye out for the Encrypted Twilight Text while you are farming these mods. It has a really decent drop rate and it sells really well in the AH.

Selling Rage and Great Rage Potion Recipes for Profit

This one is a classic. One of the best selling limited supply recipes has to be the Rage and Great Rage Potion Recipe. It is a hot selling item with a high profits margin. This a great way to build up some quick gold for low level characters. What way to begin wow gold farming than within the safety of a city?

The Rage Potion Recipe can be purchased for 1 Silver, which you can turn around and sell for 1 Gold 50 Silver in the Auction House. Now for those of you that spend your time farming the Outlands this may not seem like much, but for a new player with a low level character, this is a goldmine!

Once you have sold a few Rage Potion Recipes, it is time to move onto selling the Great Rage Potion Recipe. This recipe can be purchased for 20 Silver and sells on average for about 3 Gold in the Auction House.

Selling these recipes are a great way to quickly add extra gold to your characters pockets.
